Lilith in Feminist Lit Theory

As it turns out, Lilith from Genesis figures in as an important character in feminist literary theory. I read the following passage in my Literary Theory textbook and realized that it said exactly what I felt about the story of Lilith; namely, Lilith represents a patriarchy that condemns women to being perceived as demons for having even a little bit of independence from men.
